Get your bucket list out, because you’re going to fall in love with all of these dog-friendly destinations.

4 Must-Visit Dog-Friendly Destinations

Telluride, Colorado

We start our list off with the nation’s #1 dog town, with more dogs, per capita than people. In Telluride, your dog will think they’re in heaven. Telluride offers more dog parks than you can shake a leg at, dog-friendly transportation everywhere you go, dog-friendly lodging on every block, restaurants that welcome dogs and carry doggy menus, and so much more.

Lake Placid, NY

The big city may not be the best idea for dog owners to trek with their pets, but if you head upstate to Lake Placid, you’ll begin to see the great potential in this popular outdoor destination. The Spring is when Lake Placid comes alive with great weather, blooming plants and trees, and lots of dog-loving visitors gathering for a beautiful hike in the great outdoors. You can go hiking in the woods and check out the doggy beach too!

Los Angeles, CA

We had to include LA on our list. There’s just so much diversity and so many things to do for dogs and their owners in LA. You can go for a drive in a rental convertible, and soak up all the attention. You can walk your dog down Malibu and see a whole cornucopia of dogs and people. There are also numerous dog-friendly shops, restaurants, and even bars so that you and your best friend can get something nice to cool down with before returning to your walk. Who knows, you might even run into a famous person and/or dog along the way.

Breckenridge, Colorado

For those who prefer the cooler weather, even during the Spring, there’s always Breckenridge, Colorado. We know that many dogs enjoy the snow, so if you take them to Breckenridge, you’ll be treated to an abundance of pet-friendly places to go dive into the white stuff. There’s a lot of excellent hiking and skiing to be had here; you could get your dog onto a sled and really have some fun outside. When you’re done, you can warm up in front of a fireplace at pet-friendly lodges.

Are you ready for your next dog-friendly destination yet? We hope so! No need to leave your faithful, furry companion home this Spring. Take them along for a vacation that neither of you will soon forget. The hardest part will be deciding which destination to choose! So, what’ll it be?
